The popular attraction “Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park” at Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park’s Anime Park “Nijigen no Mori” is scheduled for an area renovation in the spring of 2027. The 365-meter round-trip water zip line“Challenge! Action Mask Flying Squad!” and the current giant wooden adventure course “Bravo! Sengoku Great Adventure!” will close on Monday, October 12, 2026 (a national holiday).

In conjunction with this, the adjacent Crayon Shin-chan Shop will also undergo renovations. After the area’s renovation, the shop is scheduled to be transformed into an original store themed after “Sato Kokono Kado,” the department store featured in the *Crayon Shin-chan* series, and the entire area will be revitalized into a space where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the series.

“Last! My Heart’s Racing—The Grand Operation!” Overview

“Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park,” which has been beloved by many visitors since its opening in 2016, is set to reopen following a renovation in the spring of 2027. To commemorate this final year of enjoying the current attractions, we are holding a special campaign in conjunction with Nijigen no Mori’s 10th anniversary:“Last! Heart-Pounding Adventure—Operation!” is currently underway, starting Wednesday, July 29, to commemorate this final year of the current attractions. Please come to Nijigen no Mori to enjoy these special experiences that are only available now.
Additionally, even after the current adventure course and zip line are suspended on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, “Nobori no Hara” will continue to operate as usual. New attractions include the unglazed pottery painting experience featuring “Shiro” and “Buriburi Zaemon,” the interactive indoor museum“Ora’s Chaotic! Buriburi House,” “Futaba Kindergarten” where you can enjoy the real-life world of anime, and the children’s play area “Action Mask’s Secret Base”—please come visit “Nonbiri no Hara,” which is packed with excitement for both adults and children!

What is “Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park”?

Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park, based on the popular anime “Crayon Shin-chan” (broadcast every Saturday from 4:30 PM on TV Asahi) , is an attraction area where you can experience the world of Crayon Shin-chan. There are two main attractions, three other attractions, and a shop.

Overview of Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park Anime Park “Nijigen no Mori”

Since 2008, the Pasona Group has been collaborating with local governments and local stakeholders on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, working on a unique regional revitalization project by attracting a diverse range of talent. In 2013, the “Awaji Manga and Anime Island Project” was selected as one of the “Private Business Proposals for Awajishima Prefectural Park” projects that Hyogo Prefecture publicly solicited. The group is now working with Hyogo Prefecture to revitalize the region by attracting new tourists, taking advantage of the magnificent natural beauty of the 134.8 hectare prefectural park.
